Sara Coates
Sara Coates is best known for her role as Serena aka Pie Girl on the hit SYFY series, Z Nation. She also played opposite Keira Knightley and Sam Rockwell in the Sundance hit Laggies (2014). Sara is the voice and motion capture for Marguerite Baker in the Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Luiza in Resident Evil 8: Village. Sara is an accomplished theater actor, improviser, comedian and writer. She comes to L.A. from Seattle.
Sara Colangelo
Sara Colangelo is an award-winning writer and director. Her first film, the short documentary Halal Vivero, was a National Finalist at the 2006 Student Academy Awards, and her narrative short, Un Attimo di Respiro, screened at over fifteen national and international film festivals including Tribeca and SXSW. It earned Sara a Wasserman Prize for Best Direction at New York University. Sara's thesis film, Little Accidents, had its world premiere at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. It garnered numerous awards, including a Warner Bros. Production Prize and Grand Jury Prizes from the Seattle International Film Festival and San Francisco Shorts Fest, among others. Sara's feature-length script, Little Accidents, inspired by the short film of the same title, explores tragedy and redemption within an American coal mining community. During its development it was supported by the Sundance Writers and Directors Labs, IFP's No Borders program, and garnered honors such as the Adrienne Shelly Foundation Award, a 2011-2012 Indian Paintbrush Fellowship and 2011-2012 Annenberg Institute Fellowship. The film had its World Premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2014, and was released theatrically in 2015. Sara was named one of Filmmaker Magazine's "25 New Faces of Independent Film" in July 2010. She graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, and received her M.F.A. at New York University's Graduate Film Division. The Kindergarten Teacher is a 2018 American drama film directed by Sara Colangelo. The film had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 19, 2018.

Sara has taught clowning, movement and improvisation for ATYP, Is Theatre Ltd and The Conservatory of Acting, Vic., and screen acting classes for advanced students at The Diana Greentree School of Drama, Williamstown, Victoria She has been employed as a director for Is Theatre Ltd, The Australian Script Centre and The Tasmanian Theatre Company, and has worked as an acting consultant on Terrapin's Helena and the Journey of the Hello, touring to the Sydney Opera House, July 2010. Sara has trained with renowned international teachers including Phillipe Gaulier (France), John Bolton, and top Hollywood acting coach, Ivana Chubbuck (L.A.). She was awarded Best Dramedy Actress and Best Supporting Actress at the 2015 Rome WebAwards for her portrayal of Evangeline Kensington in ABC's Noirhouse, and nominated for Best Actress at The 2015 Tasmanian Theatre Awards for her performance in Tasmanian Theatre Company's The Berry Man. A graduate of the John Bolton Theatre School in Melbourne, Sara is the founder and Director of Cooper Screen Academy, providing professional screen acting training for children to adults. She has been a proud MEAA member since 1999.
