Sage Linder was born and raised in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and started her training as a performer at a very young age. She is an actress and dancer most well known for her role as a series lead on both seasons 6 and 7 of The Next Step (CBC Gem/CBBC). Throughout her years of being an entertainer, Sage's passion for storytelling has grown and evolved. She has trained with renowned Vancouver acting studios including Andrew Mcllroy & Associates and Railtown Actors Studio. Her television appearances include work on Colony (USA Network/Green Zone III Productions), Motherland: Fort Salem (Freeform/ Bad Angels Productions) and Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist (NBC/Lionsgate). Most recently she completed work as a supporting lead in two films for V.C Andrews' Ruby series (Lifetime) where she will make her film debut in 2021. Sage began dancing at the age of three and had the burning desire to become a professional. Her dreams came true. She trained heavily and competed in many styles including ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, and musical theatre. At the age of fourteen, she booked her first stadium performance as a dancer for Janet Jackson's Unbreakable World Tour in Vancouver in a guest performance to the iconic song "Rhythm Nation" in 2016. Sage has also appeared as a dancer on projects including Riverdale (CW) Descendants 3 (Disney), A Cinderella Story: A Christmas Wish (Netflix), and Imaginary Mary (Pico Productions). In September 2019, Sage went on to tour internationally with Live Nation and the cast of The Next Step. Sage strongly values the meditative properties of yoga and being in nature. Sage Mcconnell is an actress, known for Three Thousand Years of Longing (2022).
Sage grew up across the Golden Gate Bridge and through the Rainbow tunnel, in the land of plush greenery, yoga and vegan-ism. Her parents are modern day hippies who raised her to think for herself, question society and oppose authority (they also smoked a lot of weed and wore little clothing- like none). Needless to say, this made her school years resemble an anti bullying campaign, so at seventeen she did what any desperate, naive teenager would do. She packed her entire life into the trunk of her self- purchased '93 Celica (convertible baby!) and sped down the I-5 to the land of palm trees, movies stars and sexual predators. Sage came armed with a deep love of film and a shield of idealism. She should have come armed with a savings account and an extensive acting resume. Sage has starred in multiple independent movies (also known as movies you've never seen) and has had bit parts on hugely successful, syndicated TV series (yay residuals) including, but not limited to: Criminal Minds, Rizzoli & Isles and Without a Trace. She also voiced and was the likeness of the character Kat in the popular (but not popular enough for a sequel) Capcom video game Devil May Cry. Craving more control and to expand her creative reach Sage began writing and, on the encouragement of her mother, entered the 2014 International PAGE Awards writing competition (super fancy way to say pay us to read your crap). Shockingly, both her comedy pilots placed top ten and her pilot My Life's in the Shitter took 2nd (I mean that title!). Recently, Sage assisted as a writers' PA (glorified lunch-getter) on the FX pilot Snowfall and just wrapped a starring role in a psychological thriller premiering sometime next year.
