Nick Baldasare began his film career in the 1980 Robert Redford vehicle, Brubaker (1980), playing a prisoner. Less than 10 years later, Baldasare was offered the lead role in Beyond Dream's Door (1989), an 80's cult film shot in Columbus, Ohio directed by Jay Woelfel. Baldasare had an extensive theatre background and met Woelfel through a friend and fellow actor. Seven years later, Baldasare was offered the lead role in Brett Piper's They Bite (1996), a low-budget homage to sci-fi films of the fifties shot in the Florida panhandle. "They Bite" has since gone on to become a much beloved cult classic though, as of this writing, it has only been released on VHS. Nick also appeared as the evil Donavan in the unreleased Linnea Quigley film, "Blood Church" aka "Fallen Angels" aka "Heartland of Darkness". Nick was also heavily involved in Ohio's Actors' Theatre Company. His first role with Actors' Theatre was Lysander in the 1986 production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. The experience helped to spark Baldasare's enthusiasm for Shakespeare, and he went on to appear in more than 10 Shakespeare productions winning several acting awards along the way. In 2007, Nick adapted his Shakespearean monologue, "Horatio's Hamlet" into a short film directed by Woelfel. The film is now being distributed through Amazon Video. More recently, Nick reunited with Woelfel to star in the shot on 35mm feature film, "Asylum of Darkness" with Richard Hatch and Tim Thomerson. Nick also has appeared in numerous commercials, industrial films, and the web series "Aidan 5"
