Born & raised in Singapore, Mark was formerly a motion graphics designer at the BBC & Channel 4 in London. He moved into directing & producing in 1996 and has since produced a wide range of television and video content with an emphasis on narrative documentaries. His trilogy of British motor-racing biographies (Jackie Stewart / Graham Hill / Jim Clark) received an RTS nomination and a FOCAL award, and he was a Grierson Award winner for the short doc Talk to Me. His critically-acclaimed, award-winning feature documentary The Last Man on the Moon was released theatrically in the US and the UK, while his most recent feature documentary Running for the Revolution was completed during the Covid19 lockdown of 2020. He is based in London and the North East of England, and is a regular guest lecturer at a number of universities.
Born and raised in the town of St.Helens, the same town as David Yates (Harry potter). Mark has been a life long film fan and after suffering and spinal injury decided to re enter education. He is studying Film and TV production at Edge Hill University [2014-2017]. Mark will be continuing to make films during his spare time.
