Mindy Raymond is an Austin-based actor with a wide array of talents. She started her professional career in 2001 in Austin and Dallas, but decided she was ready for something more one year later. She moved to New York City and attended the Michael Howard Acting Conservatory. This 1-year intensive covered everything from Meisner to Shakespeare, Voice to Improv, Film to Stage and everything in between. She fell in love with improv and co-created the successful Improv Troupe- Stilted on Stage. Stilted performed throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan for 4 years, ending their successful career on the stage of Caroline's on Broadway. Mindy became bi-coastal in 2006 living part-time in Los Angeles. She continued her improv with the troupe, The Original Understudies and was part of the sketch group "Small Office". In 2008 Mindy was hired by the Seattle Film Festival (SIFF), the longest festival (21 days) in the US, as the Platinum Plus Concierge. Shortly after SIFF wrapped Mindy moved back to Austin to pursue her acting career and any opportunities that would come her way. She served on the Austin Actors Conservatory Board for two years. Mindy was then hired as the first Executive Director of the Texas Motion Picture Alliance, the state-wide advocacy organization promoting a strong and competitive rebate incentive program.
