Mike Dalager was born and raised on historic Ford Island at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. His first home was situated on the shoreline overlooking the USS Arizona Memorial. For the better part of his childhood, he heard Reveille played by a Navy bugle man in the morning and Taps to end the day. As a young boy, upon arriving home from school he would salute the USS Arizona prior to walking through his front door. His father, an officer in the US Navy who served 4 tours of duty in the South China Sea during the Vietnam War, and real estate savvy mother always encouraged an exploration within the arts. This may explain why Mike has succeeded in theatre, songwriting and art, as well as film & TV. In 1993, at age 21 he performed the title role in Hamlet, leaving his life as a Big Sur commercial fisherman. From that single Shakespearean adventure, he caught the acting bug. In the late '90s, following a stint on the Broadway Tour of Rodger's & Hammerstein's classic musical The King & I starring Academy Award winner Hayley Mills, he moved to Stockholm, Sweden where he performed onstage alongside Swedish icon Sven Bertil Taube and film star Stefan Sauk, while appearing in 6 major stage productions and 2 feature films in Sweden between 1997 and 2003. Now a resident of daunting and seemingly impregnable Hollywood, Mike gladly trudges up the steep and tremulous slopes of Tinseltown, searching for that ever-elusive Big Break.

Mike Dara is a Filipino/Laos Canadian actor born and raised in Toronto/ Canada.
