Michelle Creber is a Canadian actress, singer-songwriter, musician and voice-actor who is known around the world as the speaking/singing voice of Apple Bloom (and the singing voice of Sweetie Belle) in the hit animated TV series My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. She was born to jazz pianist/producer Michael Creber, and vocalist/producer Monique Creber. Michelle grew up in a home that featured both a music school and a recording studio, as well as Vancouver's top musicians regularly stopping by for rehearsals and recording sessions. Michelle loved being immersed in the performing arts world and to broaden her experience and education, her parents took her to a wide variety of performances from a very young age. Michelle first appeared on stage in her parents arms at the age of one; her first singing recording session (at Armoury Studios) and her first major concert solo (Vancouver's 3000 seat Queen Elizabeth Theatre) at the age of four; her first voiceover work at the age of five; her first major gig (voicing Lucy in Peanuts) at the age of seven; her first musical theatre production at the age of eight; her first starring role in professional musical theatre at the age of nine (Annie); and her first movie (Disney's Search For Santa Paws) at the age of ten. The album At Home, (an acoustic collection of covers & originals) featuring Michelle, her parents, Gabriel Brown & Andrea Libman was released in 2014. The summer of 2015 saw the release of Tribute: Celebrating the Music of Michael Jackson, featuring Michelle and Youtube sensation Gabriel Brown (aka Black Gryph0n). In 2016, Michelle released Getting Stronger, an album of originals with Gabriel Brown and on June 1, 2018, she released a solo album of originals marking her 6th record total. Entitled On Display, it contains 13 songs and during it's first week, the album sold and streamed in over 50 countries on 6 continents, earning Michelle placement on the US Top 100 Billboard charts. In May of 2020, Michelle released her seventh album, Storm, to great industry acclaim. The album sold and streamed in over 130 countries and once again earned Michelle top-100 placement on the US and Canadian Billboard charts. Michelle attended a private school from Kindergarten to Grade 4 but shortly into her Grade 5 year, she switched to home schooling with private tutors. This format allowed for a lot more flexibility with her busy work schedule and also allowed her to move through the curriculum at a faster pace. At the age of 16, Michelle decided she wanted to graduate a year early and embarked on a challenging goal to complete grade 11 and grade 12, simultaneously - she succeeded with honors. Michelle is a popular guest at fan conventions around the world and has made over 40 trips and appearances throughout North America, Europe and Australia since 2012. Michelle's film, Bad Impulse, premiered in the US in December 2020 with a wonderful cast including Paul Sorvino, Sonya Walger, Grant Bowler, and Dan Lauria. Bad Impulse is a psychological thriller that successfully played at many film festivals, winning both Audience and Jury awards including: Audience Award for Best Feature Film at the Golden State Film Festival, Best Director for a Feature Film at the Culver City Film festival and Best Feature Film at the London International and Manhattan Film Festivals. The next film that Michelle directed, The Runner starred Cameron Douglas, Elisabeth Rohm, Nadji Jeter, Eric Balfour, Kerri Medder, Jessica Amlee, and Edouard Phillipponnat. This was a very personal story about children getting lost in the war on drugs and paying the price for it. The Runner premiered at the Cinequest Film Festival in March 2021 and screened at the Houston WorldFest as well as internationally at the Ischia Global Film Festival, winning Best Independent Feature Film as well as best Cinematography at the Toronto Independent Film Festival and Best Director at the Vancouver Film Festival, Paris Play Festival, Milan Gold Award, and L'age d'Or International Arthouse Film Festival. Now the film is being released theatrically on August 19th and on demand on August 23rd by Saban Films. She just wrapped principal photography on Miranda's Victim, the riveting true story of the creation of the Miranda Rights told from the perspective of the victim. Her courage that intersects with one crucial moment in history makes this incredibly timely and compelling.
