Katie Folger

Katie Folger is an actor, writer, and comedienne whose work is centered around more nuanced representation of women in media. She has anchored in Austin for the last decade while ping-ponging between NYC, LA, Albuquerque, and Louisville, Kentucky. While studying theater and journalism at the University of Texas at Austin, Folger became a fixture in the Austin indie film scene with indelible performances in a variety of award-winning and festival hit features and series. Ultimately, she saw a need for more projects helmed by women, and she funneled her skills into projects of her own. In 2017, she and her creative partner launched Dynamite Sisters Comedy, a production company in which they write, direct, produce, and star in character-driven satire. They successfully crowdfunded their first shoots in the west (Albuquerque, Austin, Marfa) and are moving their operation to NYC at the end of this year. Additionally, Folger spent several years independently investigating the cancellation of the Superconducting Super Collider, a particle accelerator under construction in Waxahachie, Texas in the late 80s and mysteriously shut down mid-operation by the government in the early 90s. She spent time personally interviewing physicists at the CERN campus in Geneva, Switzerland, former lab employees in Texas, and congresspeople surrounding what transpired. Since moving to NYC at the end of 2018, she has been training in comedy at the revered Upright Citizens Brigade training center (including under Amy Poehler herself) and was in a live sketch show for six months at the Magnet Theater. Alongside her work as an artist, she is pursuing her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Katie Foster began acting professionally when she starred in a Kennedy Center musical at age twelve. Over the past decade, she has built an impressive career imbued with charismatic and insightful acting. Her film debut arrived with a role opposite George Clooney and Max Minghella in the 2005 blockbuster _Syriana_, and she has since followed the performance with roles in independent shorts and features in Los Angeles, London, and Philadelphia. Armed with twelve years of training and performance with the Washington Ballet, a theatre degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and experience singing in both John Legend's college a cappella group (Counterparts, www.penncounterparts.com) and a popular '80s cover band, Foster is currently pursuing her craft bicoastally and enjoys representation in both Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.

Katie Gallagher was born in Kansas City, Missouri. She grew up in the city of Lenexa, Kansas with her parents Michael and Linda Gallagher, and her older sister Laurie. She grew up as a competitive dancer training in all styles of dance. She received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arkansas, and taught at a local dance studio while in school. She later moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she danced on the NBA Phoenix Suns Hip Hop Squad for two seasons and the WNBA Phoenix Mercury Hip Hop Squad for one season. She also experienced a major weight loss transformation during her time in Arizona through weight training and adopting a healthier way of eating, and she loves to inspire others to live a healthy lifestyle to this day. Her deep-rooted passion and love for dance is what initially brought her to move to Los Angeles, where she then discovered her interest and passion to get into acting. Katie currently resides in Los Angeles where she constantly works to grow as both an actress and a dancer.
