Kathryn, or Kate, as her friends call her, is a Dallas native and a graduate of Sam Houston State University's Musical Theatre B.F.A. Program. Kate is based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where she has been seen on many stages including most recently in Dallas Theater Center's A Christmas Carol. Other DFW credits include the World Premiere of Creep with WaterTower Theatre, several productions with Lyric Stage including The Music Man as Ethel Toffelmier, Theatre Three's Crazy for You as Patricia Fodor, PFamily Arts' Side Show as Dolly Dimples, and at Houston's Stages Repertory Theatre as Ferdinand in Ferdinand the Bull. Some of her favorite roles include Sam in Some Girl(s), Guido's Mother in Nine, and Jack's Mother in Into the Woods, as well as Nancy in Frozen and Cookie in Rumors, both of which she performed in rep during Sam Houston's 2010 Summer Repertory Season. Kate has also toured nationally with Dallas Children's Theater as Mrs. Little in Stuart Little.

Kathryn grew up in both Canada and Saudi Arabia but has lived in Los Angeles for the last decade. A graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC at age 19, Kathryn began her career as an actor on stage and in film/TV in Toronto. She starred in several series and was twice nominated for a Gemini - the Canadian Emmy. Since her move to LA, Kathryn has worked on a slate of films and TV shows, most recently guest starring on Criminal Minds and a recurring role on The Fosters. Other credits include Jane The Virgin, The Quad, Single Ladies and Parenthood. In 2016, Kathryn co-founded Eastside Arts, a performing arts school for children. As a coach for many years, Kathryn desired for Eastside Arts to be a non-competitive environment where every student felt safe to play and explore. Kathryn lives in Highland Park with artist Jon Rannells and their two daughters. She serves on the board at the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House - a home away from home for critically ill children receiving treatment in local hospitals.
