Kate was born in Dublin to Actors Stephen Brennan (Tudors/Eat the Peach) and Martina Stanley (Fair City). She is part of a very well known and respected acting family in Ireland. Her Grandfather was one of the original radio stars Denis Brennan and her Grandmother, Daphne Carrol / Brennan, as well as working in the rep in RTE, starred in TV shows such as Strumpet City. Kates aunts Jane Brennan (Tudors) and Barbara Brennan (Veronica Guerin) are also established actresses. Kate trained at Young Peoples Theatre as a child and then study Drama and theatre at Trinity College for two years before dropping out to pursue her career. After spending a year out from acting in New York,(where she started singing and writing music), she came back to Ireland and started her acting career in Theatre and has worked and toured extensively with the Abbey Theatre amongst many others in Ireland as well as the National Theatre Studio and the Arcola in London.In 2011, she was then cast in Kirsten Sheridans "Dollhouse" and her career has turned its self towards film since. Dollhouse premiered at the Berlinale and SXSW festival in Austin Texas . Going straight into a Hallmark film with Adrian Pasdar and Amy Hubermann and again starring opposite Jack Reynor, Then shooting Dublin in Pieces which premiered at the 2012 Galway Film Fleadgh, she has now signed with Insight Entertainment in LA.

Born and raised in south Detroit, Kate's formative years were spent around her family, an eclectic Eastern European blend of Polish farmers and Hungarian gypsies. Blending the work ethic of the Poles and the passion of the Gypsies, Kate moved to New York City two weeks after turning 18 to attend New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting.
