She received a BFA in Drama from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied experimental theater, dance, and cinema. She's directed, written, and produced narrative films, music videos, and theater. Her work has screened at Cinequest, Florida Film Festival, LA Asian Pacific Film Festival, Hawai'i International Film Festival, and DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival, among others. Kat's debut feature film Wake Up, Leonard, a fully improvised comedy, premiered in 2022. Kat is the founder of Studio Norté, a creative studio based in Los Angeles.
