Karina Noelle Castillo
Karina Noelle Castillo is an LA Chicana, actor, producer, director and entrepreneur from Los Angeles, CA. She is an alumnus of the prestigious Los Angeles County High School for the Arts and California Institute of the Arts where she studied as a Theatre Major. In 2014 Karina served as the honorary Quinceanera for Hollywood Forever Cemetery's 15 year anniversary of its famed Dia De Los Muertos celebration. The event was attended by over 40,000 people and is the largest Day of the Dead event in Los Angeles. Karina is the CEO and founder of Another Killer Winter, a production company focused on projects that explore the bitter-sweetness of humanity with an emphasis on looking through the female lens. Projects include Latina talk show The Trend Talk! on MeTV and web series Buzzchat which premiered on the FYI channel as a featured segment of talk-show KikiMobile in 2017. In 2019 Karina and co-founder Stevie Rae Dominguez launched their Los Angeles based arts collective The Heartbreak Artists. As a subsidiary of Another Killer Winter, The Heartbreak Artists seeks to continue its parent company's goal of highlighting life's bitter-sweetness by supporting local artists in their quest to find beauty in chaos. Members include poets, cartoonists, painters, filmmakers, photographers, and more. In 2020 Karina started Humana/Xicana, a clothing line focused on connecting to her indigenous roots by bringing the iconography of Pre-Columbian civilizations into the modern age.

Karina Ortiz is an award nominated Dominican American actress born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She was the middle child and only girl among her two brothers. Due to her younger brother being diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a baby, her family moved to New York City when she was 5 years old in order to provide him with better care and opportunities. From a young age, Karina was always emotionally drawn to both music and acting, resulting in her wanting to connect with the world by performing. Unfortunately, due to financial hardships her parents were not able to afford the training she needed. It was not until college where she was finally able to fully pursue acting and in 2009 she graduated with a BA in Theatre from The City College of New York. Upon graduating she performed on Off-Broadway stages in NY and around the country as the leading role, Angelita in "Platanos and Collard Greens." Soon after, she booked her first co-star role playing Mercedes, the sister of Dr. Ruben Marcado (Played by Lin-Manuel Miranda) in NBC's "Do No Harm." She went on to book roles in "Blue Bloods", "Royal Pains," "Turn: Washington's Spies" and more. She is known for her recurring role as Margarita on "Orange Is The New Black" and her supporting role as Lupita Garza in Nat Geo's "The Long Road Home" garnered her a 2018 Imagen Awards nomination.
