Bob Barr
Bob Barr (name Robert Marshall Barr) grew up in Kansas City, MO and graduated Westport High. He served in World War II in what was then the Army Air Corps, at a B29 base in Chengtu, China as a weather cryptographer. After discharge, he took his first professional acting job with the Piper Players, but returned to school at UNC, Chapel Hill, receiving a BA in Dramatic o and being elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He continued his education at Yale School of Drama, graduating in 1952 with an MFA in playwriting. Having married his last year, his wife became pregnant and he immediately entered the business world. After a career in sales and marketing, he retired to NC and resumed acting, appearing in 38 professional productions. After his wife's death, he expanded horizons, acting in regional theatre in Washington, DC, St. Louis, and Phoenix and joining both Actors Equity and Dramatists Guild. In the last ten years, he has written a dozen 10 minute plays and four full-length plays. He has been produced and published and is now, after having appeared in a number of films, begun screen writing.

An expert in firearms and weapons, Bekian has advised on and appeared in several features and other types of media using various guns and explosives. Bekian carries a CCW permit and trains actors and crews on how to properly and safely use weapons during productions. As a Hollywood preservationist, Bekian has collected and cataloged hundreds of pieces of Hollywood memorabilia including Science Fiction, Glamour and Action film genres as well as vintage rock and roll signed instruments and posters. Many of these items are displayed at Loyal Studios in Burbank and have been shared by thousands of people through social media. Bekian continues to innovate and combine creativity with a solid business plan and in 2021 launched a high-tech virtual HD studio with over 1000 digital stages, backgrounds and visual effects creating a true "one stop" production shop. Incorporation 1000 MPS Fiber-optics in his studio as well as full color , remote-controlled LED lighting, Bekian is using technology to grow his businesses.
