Bili Vegas was born in 1982 in New York City, where he spent most of his childhood. His parents exposed him to music and arts at a young age. By the age of 4 he had already become a competent violinist and oil painter. This penchant for the arts continued through the years, as he learned to play a variety of musical instruments, took up singing, and began performing as a professional break dancer. While attending college for computer sciences, his love for art led him to begin a part time apprenticeship as a tattoo artist. Although he landed a job in IT after college, his passion for tattooing prevailed as he returned to tattooing full time. It was at this point that he devoted himself to the art of tattooing completely, and began traveling the world to study with other artists and attend conventions. In 2011 he was approached by Spike TV to appear on the first season of Inkmaster. (TV Series 2012-) He has since appeared on the show numerous times including a Halloween special in 2015, where artists from different seasons returned to create horror inspired works of art. Shortly after the first season of Inkmaster aired, Bili Vegas developed and released the first USDA Certified Tattoo Aftercare ointment, Redemption®, as well as opening his own studio and art gallery in New York, Tattoo Afterlife®.
