Ben Stobber is a Student Emmy/Broadway World award winning actor and one of the creators of the Lucky Sevens Film Challenge that is giving seven indie filmmakers a shot at shooting a feature film in seven days with no more than seven crew members for $7,000 in 2021. Born in Hudson, Wisconsin but raised in the small town of Pueblo West, Colorado, he developed his passion for acting since age five through talent shows, musicals, speech & debate, and love for Shakespeare. His move to Las Vegas in 2002 brought opportunities with Paramount in Star Trek: The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton, followed by other local Vegas acting opportunities as a scare actor for Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, Blue Man Group at the Venetian, & Cirque du Soleil's Love at the Mirage. His first time in front of the camera was in 2004 for TNT's Dramatic Auditions when they were traveling around the country looking for the best actors. Of the many who auditioned, he was chosen as one of five semifinalists in the Las Vegas region. Biggest stage performance break came from being cast as the lead role of Ash in the Las Vegas premiere of Evil Dead the Musical. This lead him to his first starring performance on the strip at Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino where he performed for almost three years. Other notable credits on the Las Vegas strip were Legwarmers, Divorce Party the Musical, & Awesome 80's Prom. Ben began his professional career in the arts as a graduate of both the Berklee College of Music in Boston and the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles. In the TV landscape, Ben has produced the smart anthology series The Midnight Anthology starring Clancy Brown. The pilot has premiered at the New York Television Festival in 2015 and won both the Artistic Achievement and Best Director awards at the festival. Ben and the The Midnight Anthology team are in development on the remaining episodes of the series. As an actor, Ben has had the opportunity to perform in theatre, television and film. He has an electric energy that is injected into every role and is known to be a Director's actor, working with the people around him to bring out the most compelling and dynamic characters. Ben belongs on the stage and in front of the camera, feeling at home with other artists and performers. Ben, an Aspen native who was raised by inspiring and creative parents, found himself at a young age gripped by a lifelong pursuit and passion for the arts. Ben finds solace in something he once heard Richard Linklater say in an interview "People who ask me why I make films, don't understand that it's a not a choice.
