Alanna Foley is an LA-based actor of mixed race ethnicity. Her mother is from the Caribbean island of Montserrat in the West Indies, and her father is of European descent. She made her acting debut at age 6 in Surrey, England by performing in local plays. She continued to perform in the theatre throughout grade school and high school. When she attended Georgetown University, as a first generation college student, she continued her development of this life-long passion for the performing arts. During her childhood, she relocated from England to Nashville, Tennessee. Her father worked in the music industry, and his job prompted the move. Her mother was a singer/song-writer. Having two musically inclined parents made being musically proficient a family prerequisite for both Alanna and her older sister. She thus grew up playing guitar and piano as well as singing. At 16, she began song-writing. Although acting would prove to be her first and greatest love, she also was a competitive athlete throughout her schooling. She grew up playing both basketball and volleyball - eventually winning two state championships in volleyball during her high school career. Although she no longer competes, she still enjoys practicing her athleticism through boxing and yoga. Being socially conscious has always been of great importance to Alanna. She elected to write a thesis paper while in high school on the human trafficking pandemic. It was during this time that she began fundraising for vetted NGO's working to aid victims of trafficking as well as women exiting abusive situations. Alanna attended a Stanford University summer semester focusing on International Human Rights, during which she earned a 4.0 and completed a portion of her undergraduate degree credits while still a high school student. At Georgetown University, Alanna studied Sociology as well as Theatre and Politics.
