Born in London, England in 1972, Alexander Hall started writing and directing short films at the age of thirteen. In 1989, Hall wrote, co-directed and co-produced 'Brothers In Arms', an ambitious science-fiction short film which was seen and acclaimed by 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' Producer, Robert Watts. On the back of 'Brothers In Arms', Watts recommended Hall to the office of Producer, Frank Marshall, at Universal Studios in Hollywood. This led to Hall landing a Production Assistant's job at Steven Spielberg's production company, 'Amblin Entertainment', in the summer of 1991. While at Amblin, Hall co-wrote, co-produced and directed a new short film, a fairy-tale adventure titled, 'The Magic Bag'. With help from 'Jurassic Park' Producer, Gerald R. Molen, Hall and his producers, Ricci Rukavina and Christopher Mack, obtained permission to film 'The Magic Bag' on the Universal Studios' back-lot. In 1993, 'The Magic Bag' won 'Gold' and 'Film of the Festival' at the 'Ebensee Festival of Nations' in Austria, which led to Hall being represented as a screenplay writer by his first Hollywood Agent, Phil Lawrence. Hall's science-fiction/horror screenplay, 'The Tunnel', came 2nd in the 'Action' category of 'Fade In Magazine's 12th Annual Screenplay Contest' in Hollywood. While continuing to write TV and Film spec screenplays, Hall worked as an Assistant to Manager, Louise Spinner Ward, at one of Hollywood's top Management companies, 'Talent Entertainment Group', in Beverly Hills. Also, qualifying as a member of SAG Hollywood (Screen Actors Guild), Hall spent six seasons as the SAG Stand-In for Actor, Robert Sean Leonard, on the FOX TV Show 'House', starring Hugh Laurie. A children's book, 'Bouncy the Tennis Ball', was published by Hall as an eBook in 2016 with an animation screenplay in development. Hall is presently working on two novels and continuing to produce new screenplays.
