Handsome and muscular actor, writer, and real life tough guy Alex Mann was born in the rough neighborhood of Brownsville in Brooklyn, New York. His father was a pool player nicknamed "Cue Stick" and his mother worked at the candy counter at Loew's Pitkin Theater. Mann was involved with criminals in his younger days and had many run-ins with the police during this time. In the early 1960's Alex moved to Manhattan's East Village, where he became part of the local beat scene. Mann first started acting in underground movies. He soon became a welcome and familiar rugged face in East Coast exploitation cinema fare which includes both soft-core features and more explicit porno flicks. Among the notable drive-in film directors Alex has acted in movies for are Joe Sarno ("Passion in Hot Hollows," "Wall of Flesh," "Abigail Lesley Is Back in Town"), Michael Findlay ("Take My Head," "Funk"), Doris Wishman ("Keyholes Are for Peeping," "Satan Was a Lady"), and Barry Mahon ("The Diary of Knockers McCalla"). His most memorable roles were the dissident Shelley in the outrageous hippie horror splatter cult favorite "I Drink Your Blood," a vicious rapist in the poignant porn gem "Sometime Sweet Susan," and slimy pimp Tony in the supremely scuzzy "Malibu High." In 1969 "Life" magazine ran a two page article on Mann and his wife Pamela after the couple was arrested for running a brothel. (Mann also performed in live sex shows with Pamela.) Alex moved to Los Angeles, California in the late 1970's to further pursue his acting and writing career. He kept himself afloat by working as a bouncer for a notorious Hollywood club owner. Mann won rave reviews for "Sailor Falls in One," a boxing play that he wrote, produced, and directed. Alex made guest appearances on the TV shows "Weird Science" and "Strong Medicine." Moreover, Mann did the voice of Jimmy the Grape for the video game "The Darkness" and had a co-starring role in the crime thriller "The Transgressions of Tina." He was a member of SAG, AFTRA, and AEA. Alex lived in Sherman Oaks, California. Mann died of tongue cancer in July, 2010.

Mother was a church choir director, which meant I was drafted into anything that had a child's part. I loved it, in HS I did everything from set building to lights and acting. Choir and musicals were in the mix as well. I went on to Improv and a few student productions in college but I seemed to not have the passion that others that were theater majors had so I did not pursue further. What it was, I wanted to learn a character and then be them and then move on. I never had the drive to perform the same part over and over. Thus it was TV and Film that I wanted but did not make the connection as being in the Midwest there was not much chance of that. So I pursued my passion for Motorcycles and Photojournalism. The latter would be stemmed by the oncoming of digital photography and the downsizing of newspapers. I happened to be working at a motorcycle industry company when I got the opportunity to be a part of the film Biker Boyz. While one set I got the acting bug once again and have been pursuing my dream ever since. Yes I still ride and build motorcycles.

Born to a French mother and Martinican father, Alex was raised in the heart of central France. His father, a Vietnamese martial-arts instructor, initiated him into the arts at an early age. Alex soon became a star of the podiums, winning 3 times the title of champion of France in Viet Vo Dao between 1997 and 2000. At 17 years old, while still following his sports studies, Alex also began to practice dance, Parkour (aka "the Art of displacement, initially made popular by the Yamakasi, and later by its namesake film) and acrobatics. This combination of moving arts led him to create a show combining sports, stunts and acting, with the proceeds benefiting children's education in Viet Nam. His regional notoriety got him a place on the generic for the film Kiss of the Dragon with Jet Li. His role, while canceled at the last minute, sparked his decision to focus on his professional acting ambition and led him, over the course of three years, to play in two successful musical comedies. His performance was recognized and he was invited to study for two years at the International Academy of Acting, Singing and Dancing. At the end of his training, Alex decided to transition from live acting to film. He completed film acting and English classes before officially auditioning as an actor from 2005. His chameleon like appearance associated with his incredible physical ability, have brought him a variety of professional experiences. The famous international series, Galactik Football (2006 - 2008) taught him how to act in Motion Capture. He had roles in ten different Indian films between 2006 and 2010 during a stint in Bollywood. In France, Alex started his acting career in Banlieue 13 Ultimatum by Patrick Alessandrin and the highly acclaimed film The Prodigies by Antoine Charreyron (2011). Between 2012 and 2013, Alex played in three French films: Rust and Bone by Jacques Audiart, starring Marion Cotillard and Matthias Schoenaerts, The Lookoot by Michele Placido with Daniel Auteuil and Matthieu and Jeu De Couples by Maxwell A. Cavevall. He has also had roles in two American films: Battle of the year: Plaent B-Boy by Benson Lee, starring Josh Holloway and the singer Chris Brown and Fast and Furious 6 by Justin Lin, with Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson.
