Alex is an award winning writer/director who moved to Los Angeles after graduating from Tufts University, where he received a BA in English. Since then, he's worked as a script reader for Broad Green Pictures alongside writing and producing a number of short films, a web-series and the award winning television pilot, Served, which took home a top honor at the Independent Television Festival. Most recently, Alex wrote and directed his feature film debut, Elephants, which is now streaming on Amazon Prime. He is a proud member of the Deadline Junkies and he co-runs a production company, The Chameleon Effect, alongside fellow producer Luca Malacrino.

He has also produced some of the biggest selling stand up DVD's of all time including Lee Evans XL, Jack Dee Live and Lee Mack Live, and music specials with Elton John, Rod Stewart, The Spice Girls. Alex was nominated for Best Director at the American TV Awards 2012 for his work on SUBURGATORY, and was selected as RISING STAR OF TOMORROW by Screen International 2014. In 2017 he was included in Indiewire's list of the 20 best directed TV-shows of the 21st Century. His shows have been nominated for Golden Globes, Emmys and BAFTAs. Alex Harrouch is a fully bilingual Montreal-born actor, best known for his 12 episode ark as Alli's abusive boyfriend, Leo, in Season 13 of DEGRASSI (TeenNick). Video game fans may also recognize him from Ubisoft's hugely successful FAR CRY 3.
